INVENTS Consortium Holds Successful First Annual Meeting in Göttingen

The INVENTS consortium gathered at the Historic Observatory – Georg-August Universität Göttingen, Germany, for its first annual consortium meeting from November 14th-15th, 2024. This event offered a great platform for reviewing progress, sharing knowledge, and fostering collaboration.

Pre-Meeting Workshop
Before the main event, participants attended a specialized workshop on “External Controls for Clinical Trials,” expertly led by Christian Röver and Sebastian Weber, which offered invaluable insights to the group.

Day 1 Highlights

  • Keynote by Wolfgang Nejdl on “Foundation Models for Medicine” 

Day 2 Highlights

  • Presentation from Work-Package 6, focusing on the Pediatric Patients Expert Group training held in Bari, Italy
  • In-depth session on data sharing by Work-Package 7, a key component of the project

Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) Contributions
The meeting was enriched by the presence of SAB members Frank Pétavy, Martin Golebiewski, and Satoshi Morita, who gave valuable feedback and guidance, helping steer the consortium toward its ambitious goals.

Looking Ahead
